May Happenings

Well, June 2008 is almost gone; so not to fall behind I thought I should post our May (yes, May) trip to Arizona.

It was my girlfriend,
Chris' birthday so we drove out to Goodyear, Arizona to spend the weekend with her and her hubby, Brian.

We had a delicious barbecue the first evening. I recently learned about a quick and delicious
recipe for corn on the cob by "Sam the Cooking Guy". Just click on the word recipe to view.

Jim and I enjoy watching
"Sam the Cooking Guy" I even ordered his cookbook at Amazon.com; but he does have free recipes online at his website.

Okay I was derailed mometarily but back to our weekend.

Also served up were very yummy margaritas and tasty carne asada from Sprouts. (But because we don't have a Sprout we buy ours at Trader Joes). TJ's carne asada - it's a must!

As you can see from the pics; we had a great time (and I don't think the fun can be blamed completely on the margaritas - ha!).

During the meal we had Molly (Chris and Brian's Fur Baby) circling the table. I took so many pictures of her, it became a game. I don't think I've ever seen a dog in so many places at one time (it was pretty entertaining).

And if you put your left ear to your left shoulder you'll get to watch Molly in action.
*Sorry, I haven't a clue on how to to rotate a video.

The next day we found ourselves at the movies watching "Indian Jones". What a fun movie. And afterwards we went to Margaritaville. Sure wish there was a Margaritaville in California (maybe someday?).

They have tasty eats; but my fave was the Land Shark Lager topped off with a splash of Lime Infused Tequila.

And however unfortunate the restaurant isn't located in California, I was able to find both the beer and Tequila at BevMo. If you enjoy a chilled Corona with lime - try my new fave. You might just switch your cold brew.
Well, that was our weekend. We always have a great time when we go to Arizona.

What a fun trip. Seems everyone is moving to AZ. Or vacationing there too. Have to make a trip to BevMo. Always looking for a new, tasty cool drink!
